Ryan H. Barish, MD

Ryan H. Barish, MD is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Oakwood Hospital where he served as chief resident and currently has staff privileges at Troy Beaumont Hospital and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. With more than 17 years of clinical experience as a practicing family physician, he treats a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions and strives to address the root causes of health concerns, with an emphasis on nutrition and other lifestyle factors. He volunteers yearly at Camp Tamarack, an overnight summer camp, managing the urgent care medical needs of children and teen campers and staff.  

Dr. Barish completed a certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies and is currently pursuing advanced training and certification in Functional Medicine, which is an emerging science-based healthcare approach to further improve the management and prevention of chronic conditions.

Along with his wife and two sons, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with their dog Ruby.
