Hey there plant-powered people - 

We had a great meeting last night - the last AA Small Group meeting at my house as I will be moving to St. Joseph Michigan at the end of May. But - don't fret! Gaia and I will still be leading the AA Small Group every month! We'll be bouncing around to different locations including Wendy's Co-op space, Joanne and Chris's house in Ypsi and David and Nancy's backyard for a BBQ. 

It was so wonderful to have Joanne and Chris back from their travels (though we did not hear enough about them - we'll have to get the low down next time)! Faye, David and Nancy came back for a second meeting, and we are so happy to welcome Dana as a first-time AA Small-group-er! Finally, Adi was able to make a return now off his crutches and out of school.... Spring is in the air, folks, and we are so happy to see people returning to the meetings and to get to know the new faces! 

Resources! Many, many resources were shared yesterday throughout conversation - more than one can remember. I did my best to capture them all and have included them below. Click the links for more info on each item!

    4. Skinny Girl Poppyseed dressing (not all Skinny Girl products are plant-based, but they do tend to be low sugar and low oil - look out for added ingredients you cannot pronounce; this one is pretty clean!)

    • Cheese extravaganza! 

      Location: Touchstone Co-Housing Common House (560 Little Lake Drive, A2)

      Cheese is one of the hardest things to give up and/or substitute for when transitioning to a vegan diet. How have you learned to best replace or substitute for cheese? Bring a dish that is 'cheesy' - could be vegan version of a dish that typically has cheese (ex: tacos - I make delicious vegan tacos, and you'd never miss the cheese!) or with a cheese substitute (ex: my vegan queso actually does taste cheesy!).

Keep an eye out for additional events added to the schedule for our Small Group possibly including a pressure cooker demo, knife skills training, bring-your-own-tips and tricks for the hardest to prep food items (like avocados, onions, mangoes and pomegranates!) and a AA-SG BBQ!
