Katie Mae M.S.
Nutritionist & Culinary Coach
Katie Mae is a Nutritionist and Culinary Coach teaching how to make a plant-based diet easy, healthy, and delicious so that it’s completely sustainable and deeply enjoyed.
Since 2011, Katie Mae’s been teaching weekly at TrueNorth Health Center, and working with Dr. McDougall’s Health & Medical Center. She’s also a contributor to the Forks Over Knives website, the Food Revolution Network, and the Plant-Based Nutrition Support Group. Katie Mae holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University, and has completed the Rouxbe Plant-based Culinary Certification.
Katie Mae is the owner of Plantz St., which is a culinary gym building kitchen fitness, community and joy for a plant-based world. She’s also the creator of the Plantz Culinary Boot Camp, an online plant-based cooking course and the Plantz eCookbook Series. You can find her recipes and trainings at PlantBasedKatie.com.
Emily Camiener MPH, RDN
Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist
Emily Camiener is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist trained in integrative and Functional Nutrition. Her undergraduate degree was conferred at the University of Michigan and her graduate work was completed at Loma Linda University focusing on the vegetarian diet. Her clinical work includes women’s health at Oakwood Hospital, and at Henry Ford West Bloomfield. She is currently a full-time nutrition instructor at Schoolcraft College in the Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts program. Emily has a private nutrition consulting practice in Franklin where she counsels patients and clients in moving toward eating for vitality and wellness. Emily currently is a member of Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and the Culinary Nutrition practice groups of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. As an avid exercise buff, yogi, deep breather, and vegetarian home cook-Emily brings her passion for nutrition and health to engage us in transformational moments. Through exploring food and spirit, discovering new nutrition science, trying new foods-her presentations strive to bring new and deeper perspectives to our life experience of eating.
